The EHI NUTOME GALIZA Grand Durbar is the event that sums up the week- long Festival Celebration and is held on the last Saturday of September. It’s a colorful assembly of the People and Chiefs of EHI and its adjoining and affiliated towns. This event is mostly planned and organized by the Festivals and Culture Planning Committee of the Ehi Development council. The 2019 planning committee was led by Mr Stephen Dogbey, a brilliant son of Ehi and an English teacher at Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon.
As the 2019 theme was about Women empowerment through agriculture and entrepreneurship, EMMA ALEVI INITIATIVE a non-governmental organization selected 20 well deserving women who are into the gari processing business for the past 20 to 50 years and honored them with items and cash prizes to support their agribusiness.
The chiefs and people of Ehi, Weta traditional area, Anlo council of Chiefs and some politicians from all over the country graced the occasion. The collaborative efforts of the citizens of Ehi both financially and physically made this durbar a successful event.
